Why do cats lose hair and get ringworm on their ears?

The ears have been losing hair and getting ringworm for two days.

If the affected area has hair loss, dandruff, erythema and scabs, it may be ringworm in cats. But if there is no scratching behavior, it's uncertain. Generally, cats with ringworm scratch.
